Change Starts in the classroom

Why Generous Students K-2?

The Generous Classroom is a fresh take on the growing SEL need in our schools and communities today. Through the lens of generosity, students will explore social-emotional competencies while immersing themselves in the 7 ways of being generous- thoughts, words, money, time, belongings, influence, and attention. Through a friendly cast of characters, including the Generosity Giraffe as a guide, students will encounter generosity and SEL in an approachable and meaningful way through the story, song, and a multi-sensory of activities. The generous classroom will transform the way students interact with one another and open the door to meaningful ways to give and consider outside of themselves, creating a refreshed, deeper, and more connected culture.

What Teachers Are Saying

It was a great experience and I truly believe this should be something all children (and adults) learn. It really challenged me on how much generosity I show daily. It was great to learn with my students. They loved the booklet and videos. It really got them thinking about how even though they are young they can still set an example to others.

I love Generosity Roadmap and think it’s something that should be used in all classrooms! I think it would be a great tool to implement at the beginning of the school year to create a strong classroom community. I am excited to use it again!
